Who Does God Say I Am?
At some point after I left my abusive relationship, and while I was in the most toxic part of my marriage, I started searching out who God says I am, rather than who other people or my messed up mind say I am. See, my mind said that I'm nobody. Dirt. Can't do anything right. Have no value or worth. It learned this from things other people had said to me, including my abusers and my husband, but also from thoughts that went on repeat over and over all day long. Satan had used the seeds that were planted by men, and encouraged me to see proof of that all day long.
Every time I wouldn't "get enough done" (by who's standards, anyway?), or I "did something wrong" (says who?) or I "let the ball drop" in one of the many areas of our household (why was it ALL on my shoulders?), the voices would start up. They started as a whisper at first, but eventually drowned out any other thoughts I had and took over my emotions, leaving me feeling like a victim.
I'm not enough.
I can't do anything right.
I will never amount to anything.
I'm worthless.
I'm only loved with conditional love.
I always screw up.
I can't remember anything.
I'm too unorganized.
My house is too messy.
I can't get everything done, there's simply not enough time.
I'm overwhelmed.
I'm drowning.
I can't handle this.
No one likes me.
No one loves me.
I'm not good enough.
I'm not enough. I'm not enough. I'm not enough.
These were the voices that looped on repeat day in and day out. So how did I quiet them? I replaced the lies with truth. Here are several verses I found that helped me during this time... ↓↓↓

you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. (When I read this, I realized that negative thinking/talking about ourselves counted as "unwholesome talk"!)
Ephesians 4:29-31 NIV
So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
Matthew 21:21-22 NIV
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
